She will give an update on the Israeli-Pale stinian conflict\, explain the Israeli-American relationship as allies\, a nd speak to the national security concerns of Israel.
SPEAKER BIO
Delphine Gamburg\, Ph.D.\, is the Deputy Consul General at the Con
sulate General of Israel to the Midwest. Dr. Gamburg was born in France an
d immigrated to Israel where she pursued studies in international relation
s. A career diplomat\, she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israe
l in 1998 and worked in the legal department for 7 years. In Israel\, she
also worked in the Department of Development Cooperation\, the Department
of Strategic Affairs\, and the Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora and
Religions. She served as Cultural Attaché at the Israeli Embassy in Washi
ngton D.C. before being appointed Minister-Counsellor for Public Diplomacy
at the Israeli Embassy in Paris. Dr. Gamburg earned an LL.B.\, a Masterâ€
™s degree in International Relations\, and a Ph.D. focusing on U.S. foreig
n policy in the Middle East. She is married to Yaron and is the mother of
three boys.
