About the program

This program is an opportunity for Concordia students in the School of Business to connect with successful and elite business executives from the Milwaukee business community. Students in their second semester of freshman year and above are eligible for participation.

The purpose of the Batterman School of Business Mentor Program is to have a group of elite Milwaukee business leaders mentor, on a one on one basis, high achieving school of business students.

The Mentor/student relationship is based upon the student’s specific career interest. For example, some students may lean toward marketing or others, finance, etc. Each student will be paired with Mentors whose corporate responsibilities correspond with the student’s interests.

Mentors are outstanding and accomplished business executives. These executives will mentor a student and provide him/her with the unique perspective only a business leader has. A perspective that gives each student a sense of how what is taught in the classroom is applied in the real world.

Each student will meet with his/her Mentor a minimum of three times at the Mentor’s place of employment. These meetings take approximately one hour. In many instances, the Mentor/student relationship extends well past the initial three meetings.
